Hydrodynamics- currents and waves

The ability to measure currents and wave heights is very limited due to the high cost of the required instruments. A number of new low-cost sensors are being tested for waves and current velocity. Because of the low costs, these sensors can be used on a large(er) scale, allowing spatial patterns to be measured.
