Hans has over 20 years of experience in scientific research, | Gedurende zijn jaren bij de HZ heeft hij gewerkt aan vele watertechnologieprojecten zoals NEREUS (New Energy and Resources for Urban Sanitation), FRESH4Cs (Alternative Fresh Water resources for Coastal Areas), IMPROVED (Integrale Mobiele Proceswatervoorziening voor een Economische Delta) en was hij betrokken bij de uitvoering van de Dow/Evides-pilot in het EU-FP7 E4Water-project. | ||
Naast zijn werk bij het lectoraat is hij docent waterzuivering aan de HZ op bachelor- en masterniveau en docent en onderzoeker in Urban Systems Engineering bij de vakgroep Milieutechnologie aan de Wageningen Universiteit. | |||
Hans heeft meer dan 20 jaar ervaring in wetenschappelijk onderzoek, ook vanuit zijn eerdere werk bij TNO en de Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven. Hans' belangrijkste expertise is modellering en optimalisatie van dynamische systemen met een focus op waterzuivering en energiesystemen gedurende de laatste tien jaar. In 2014 voltooide hij zijn doctoraat getiteld 'Numerical and experimental design of ultrasonic particle filters for water treatment'. Hij behaalde zijn master in Biomechanical Engineering aan de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven in 1997. | |||

In addition to his work at the research group, he is a lecturer in water treatment at HZ at undergraduate and graduate level and a lecturer and researcher in Urban Systems Engineering at the Department of Environmental Technology at Wageningen University. | |||
Hans has over 20 years of experience in scientific research, including from his previous work at TNO and the Catholic University in Leuven. Hans' main expertise is modeling and optimization of dynamic systems with a focus on water treatment and energy systems over the last decade. In 2014 he completed his PhD entitled "Numerical and experimental design of ultrasonic particle filters for water treatment". He received his master's degree in Biomechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology in 1997. | |||
