At HZ University of Applied Sciences I coordinate and carry out applied research which is relevant to energy transition in delta regions. My personal research focus is on applied future technologies that solve questions of system integration of renewables (solar, (offshore) wind power, tidal), particularly in the context of industrial and maritime processes in the Flemish / Zeeland region, with an eye for solutions like flexibility and storage through batteries, hydrogen and flexible thermal processes/storage.
